Tell Astra to pause it, or open the routine on the project's routines panel and toggle it off. Either works. Paused routines stop running and stop charging credits until they're turned back on.
Two ways to pause
- Say it in the CEO chat: "pause the Monday SEO report" — Astra confirms and disables it
- Open the routines panel for the project, find the routine, click the pause toggle
What happens after pausing
- The routine stops running on its schedule
- Any in-flight run already started finishes (the team doesn't kill it mid-task)
- No new tasks get created from it
- It stays in the routines list so the chairman can resume later
Resuming
Same two paths — tell Astra to resume it, or click the toggle again. The routine picks up at its next scheduled run; it doesn't backfill the runs it missed while paused.
Deleting vs. pausing
If the chairman is sure the routine isn't coming back, delete it instead of pausing. Pause is for "not now"; delete is for "never again." Deleting wipes the routine but keeps the task history it produced.
Editing a routine
To change the schedule or the brief, tell Astra ("run the SEO report on Tuesdays now") rather than pause-and-recreate.
For what a routine is, see the routine reference.
