Every dollar your AI team spends comes from your monthly usage budget. Here is exactly what draws from the wallet and what doesn't.

What costs money

Every task the team executes draws from the wallet proportional to the work involved — research, writing, coding, design, video. Chat replies from Astra and the team cost fractions of a cent per reply. Background routines like the morning brief and recurring reports cost a small amount, shown on the routine's run history. Heavy generation — images, long-form video clips, large data analysis — shows its running cost in the task thread.

What doesn't cost money

Reading dashboards, opening past tasks, browsing assets, and receiving notifications are free. Chatting with Astra costs a fraction of a cent per reply. Inviting teammates, managing settings, creating projects, and organizing tasks cost nothing. Failed login attempts, password resets, and account management are free.

How to see your charges

Each completed task shows its exact cost on the task card. The wallet balance updates in real time during execution. For a rolling view, Settings > Billing shows the last 30 days of spend broken down by day and category.

Setting a monthly cap

You can set a monthly spend cap in Settings > Wallet. When the cap is reached, new tasks pause until you lift the cap or the next billing cycle begins. Already-running tasks finish.

For specific plan amounts, see the pricing reference. For auto top-up details, see the pricing reference.
