Connecting Slack

What you see

What you see

Open Settings → Integrations from the left nav. The Integrations page lists every service you can connect, each with a Connect button and a status pill (Connected / Not connected). Slack sits in the Messaging section.

How to use it

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Slack and click Connect Slack.
  3. You'll be sent to Slack to approve. Pick the workspace and the channels you want to grant access to.
  4. Approve, and you're back in Settings with Slack showing Connected.
  5. Tell Astra in chat where updates should land: "Post launch updates to #marketing, DM me for anything urgent." She follows that pattern.

What you'll need

A Slack account with permission to install apps in your workspace. If your workspace requires admin approval, you may need an admin to approve the request first.

How the team coordinates around this

Once Slack shows Connected, the team can post status updates to a channel and DM you when a decision is needed. You'll see those Slack posts referenced in the CEO chat panel ("Posted the launch update to #marketing") so you don't miss them. To change which channel updates go to later, come back to Settings → Integrations.
