How do I connect a custom domain?
The Auto-setup flow creates a pending domain first, asks Entri to write the required TXT ownership record and routing record, provisions TLS, and proxies the custom hostname to the selected Tycoon App. The monthly charge lands only after active DNS and certificate verification. Manual TXT and CNAME instructions are only a fallback when Entri cannot connect your registrar.
What does the auto-setup flow do?
At an apex/root domain, registrars such as Squarespace may expose an ALIAS or ANAME instead of allowing a literal CNAME. Tycoon accepts that flattened setup when the public A/AAAA answers resolve to the expected edge. The TXT ownership record is still required. Subdomains should continue to use a normal CNAME.
How do I set up an apex or root domain?
A domain is one entity with two uses: Website (bind to a deployed App) and Email (host astra@domain). One Entri session can write records for both together, and each turns Active as its own backend confirms DNS propagation. Tycoon only charges for a domain after DNS verification passes and activation succeeds; failed attempts remain pending or show an explicit error.
