A scheduled run says Canceled, and you didn't cancel it
Each run is created at its scheduled moment, then handed to a machine to execute. If that handoff is refused, or no machine ever picks the run up, it never starts. Once roughly three of the routine's own slots have passed — at least an hour, at most a day, so ninety minutes for a half-hourly check — Tycoon retires it rather than leave a to-do that can never begin, and records: "Scheduled run retired: it never started — refused at dispatch or never claimed — and its scheduled moment has passed. This counts as a missed reading, not as a completed run. The schedule keeps running on its own cadence."
A retired run is not replayed. A scheduled check exists to look at one moment; running yesterday's check today would report on a situation that is gone. Your next scheduled run covers you, and the Outcome itself is untouched.
The routine reads "Coverage interrupted"
The schedule is firing on time, but every slot is being skipped behind one blocker — most often an open request from an earlier run that nobody has answered yet. Tycoon says this once, after about three of the routine's own slots (ninety minutes for a half-hourly check, three hours for an hourly one, three days for a daily one), instead of repeating "Last run was skipped…" — true of the latest slot, silent about the gap. Coverage then resumes immediately: a fresh run takes that slot's reading, while the original request stays open and still waits for the same person.
The routine reads "Dark"
Dark means the schedule is firing on time, but its runs are not reaching a conclusion. The Outcome's next step then names how many runs are piling up and says it is waiting for the schedule to recover. Related wording: "Last run failed…", "The expected next run is overdue", "Enabled, but no run has completed yet".
What to do: nothing for a single retired run. For Coverage interrupted, answer the open request named on the Outcome — readings resume on their own once it is answered. If retired runs repeat, or the row stays Dark, ask Tycoon Agent on that Outcome to look at the schedule.
What it costs: a run that never started, and a skipped slot, did no work and draw no credits. Runs are charged only for the work actually performed.
