How to create a goal

Tell Astra in the CEO chat. Say what you want, by when. She'll either record it as-is or push back if it's vague — then it shows up on the project's goals panel.

Tell Astra in the CEO chat. Say what you want, by when. She'll either record it as-is or push back if it's vague — then it shows up on the project's goals panel.

Examples that work

  • "Get to $10K MRR by end of Q3"
  • "Ship the iOS app by November 15"
  • "100 paid signups in the next 30 days"
  • "Build trust with our top 10 customers this quarter" (qualitative is fine too)

What Astra does with it

  • Records it on the project so it surfaces in the morning brief
  • Reverse-engineers what work would move it forward
  • Proposes the first few tasks
  • Tracks progress and tells the chairman when it's at risk

What to skip

  • Don't write a 5-page OKR doc — one line is enough
  • Don't set 20 goals at once — pick the two or three that actually matter this quarter
  • Don't make goals out of activities ("write 10 blog posts") — make them outcomes ("hit X organic visitors")

Editing a goal

Tell Astra to update it ("push the date to December," "raise the target to $15K"). Same chat, same flow.

For the difference between a goal and a task, see the goal-vs-task reference.
