What's happening A task ended with a "Failed" status icon instead of "Done", and the thread shows a short note from the teammate explaining what stopped them.

Why it happens

  • The brief was missing a key piece of information and the teammate couldn't make a safe guess.
  • A linked tool (a connector) wasn't reachable, so the teammate couldn't complete the work.
  • Something the teammate tried hit an upstream limit or rate cap.
  • The work crossed a safety line the team won't cross without explicit confirmation (sending money, deleting data, posting publicly).

What to do

  1. Read the failure note at the bottom of the task thread first — it usually says exactly what went wrong in one sentence.
  2. If the note asks a question, answer it in the same thread and the teammate will retry from where they stopped.
  3. If a connector caused the failure, reconnect it under Settings → Connectors, then tell the teammate "try again."
  4. If the brief itself was thin, click "Redo task" from the task header and rewrite the brief with the missing detail.
  5. If none of this works, message Astra and she'll loop in support.
