How do I know my task is stuck?
Work says No verified progress yet, Queued — work has not started, or Planned — no wake or next step recorded. In progress by itself is not proof of live execution, and a legacy blocked lifecycle does not become a second user-facing state or imply the team is waiting on you.
What should I check first?
Look for a live Needs you request on the parent Task. That is the only user-action signal. If there is none, open the Task from Work and ask Astra for the last verified evidence, remaining gap, and recovery or wait condition.
What if no one asked a question?
Check Settings → Connectors. If anything the Task needs is disconnected, reconnect it, then open the Task and tell Astra "Try again now."
What if there's no visible block but it's still slow?
Open the Task and ask Astra, "Are we on track? Show me the latest evidence, remaining gap, and next check." Astra summarizes child execution without exposing child inboxes.
What if I still don't get a reply?
Give Astra a clearer instruction on the same Task. Ask her to revise the success standard when it is wrong, resume when the wait is over, or stop the Task when the Outcome is no longer wanted. She creates a new Task only for a genuinely different Outcome.
