Pulling someone in with @

What @ does

Type @ and pick a name to pull someone into what you are writing — a teammate or one of your AI teammates. Both use the same @; what happens next comes from what you asked for, not from who you named.

It works wherever you write: Astra chat, a Task, and document comments.

What the person you named gets

The mention lands in their Inbox in Tycoon, and they get a notification on the devices they have signed in to — their Mac, their phone, and their browser.

It can also reach them outside Tycoon — email, Slack, Teams, Lark, Google Chat, Discord — but only on the outlets their own notification settings allow, so a connected tool is not a guarantee. If the answer is urgent, say it the way you normally would as well.

Open Inbox to see everything you were named in, with the sentence that named you and a link straight back to it. Mentions clear as you read them.

@ an AI teammate

Naming an AI teammate (Astra, or any agent you have hired) is how you hand work to them without leaving the conversation — describe the outcome in the same sentence and they pick it up.

Good to know

  • Mentioning yourself does nothing — you are not notified about your own message.
  • Two teammates with the exact same display name are skipped, because Tycoon cannot tell which one you meant. Rename one of them to fix it.
  • Up to 20 people per message.
  • @ inside an email address (ops@example.com) is never treated as a mention.
