What's happening A task ended with a "Failed" status icon instead of "Done", and the thread shows a short note from the teammate explaining what stopped them.
Why it happens
- The brief was missing a key piece of information and the teammate couldn't make a safe guess.
- A linked tool (a connector) wasn't reachable, so the teammate couldn't complete the work.
- Something the teammate tried hit an upstream limit or rate cap.
- The work crossed a safety line the team won't cross without explicit confirmation (sending money, deleting data, posting publicly).
What to do
- Read the failure note at the bottom of the task thread first — it usually says exactly what went wrong in one sentence.
- If the note asks a question, answer it in the same thread and the teammate will retry from where they stopped.
- If a connector caused the failure, reconnect it under Settings → Connectors, then tell the teammate "try again."
- If the brief itself was thin, click "Redo task" from the task header and rewrite the brief with the missing detail.
- If none of this works, message Astra and she'll loop in support.
