A session is what keeps the chairman signed in across page loads and across days. Tycoon manages sessions in a way that balances convenience and security.
How long a session lasts
A session stays active across browser restarts, but expires after a period of inactivity. The exact duration is conservative enough that abandoned devices don't stay logged in indefinitely. The chairman can choose to be remembered on trusted devices at sign-in.
Active sessions list
Settings → Account → Sessions lists every device currently signed in to the account. Each entry shows:
- The kind of device (browser, OS)
- Approximate location based on IP
- When that session was last active
If anything looks unfamiliar, click Sign out next to that session to end it immediately. The unfamiliar device will be signed out and need to sign in fresh.
Signing out everywhere
The same screen has a Sign out of all sessions button. Useful after a stolen laptop, a shared device, or just for peace of mind. After clicking, every device — including the current one — is signed out.
Multiple devices, multiple workspaces
The chairman can be signed in to the same account on as many devices as needed (laptop, phone, tablet). Each device is its own session. Switching workspaces happens within a session — the workspace switcher is local to whatever device the chairman is on.
New device notifications
When the account is signed in to from a new device for the first time, Tycoon sends an email to the address on file. If the sign-in wasn't the chairman, that's a signal to change the password and review the active sessions list.
With 2FA
If 2FA is enabled, every new sign-in requires the current code in addition to the password. Existing sessions stay signed in until they expire on their own or are signed out manually.
For password help, see the password reset reference. For 2FA, see the 2FA reference.
