How do I turn a doc into tasks?

When Astra or the team writes a doc that includes proposed actions — such as an audit report, a weekly review, or a strategy doc — those actions are tracked as real tasks waiting for approval. You can approve them from the doc or from the Tasks board.

When Astra or the team writes a doc that includes proposed actions — such as an audit report, a weekly review, or a strategy doc — those actions are tracked as real tasks waiting for approval. You can approve them from the doc or from the Tasks board.

How it works

Open the doc. At the bottom of proposals that include actionable items, you will see a Take Action panel listing each proposed task — who would own it, the title, and a short rationale. Each proposal has a checkbox. Select the ones you want to act on, then tap Approve selected.

The same proposed tasks also appear in the Tasks board under Needs approval, where you can approve one card, cancel one card, or approve all.

What happens after approval

Each approved proposal moves from PROPOSED to TODO and becomes eligible for the assigned AI employee to run. A message is posted to your CEO chat thread with links to the approved tasks so you can track them.

Dismissing proposals

If a proposal is not relevant, deselect it before approving or cancel it from the Tasks board. Canceled proposed tasks do not run.
