How to create and manage your API keys

You can now issue your own API keys directly in the product — no login-cookie curl required. Use these keys to call the Public Task API from your own backend or the tycoon CLI.

Where is it?

Open Connectors → Developer API (the #developer tab). The panel is titled Public Task API. It is deliberately separate from the API keys tab: that one stores keys you got from other services (OpenAI, Resend) so the agent can use them, while Developer API issues the keys your backend uses to create Tasks.

How do I create one?

  1. Type a Key name (e.g. "Growth backend") so you can tell keys apart later.
  2. Choose a Key expiration — No expiration (the default), or 7 / 30 / 90 / 180 / 365 days.
  3. Click Create key.

The raw tyc_… token is shown once. Copy it and store it as a secret — Tycoon keeps only its prefix, so it can never be shown again. Only an owner or admin can create keys. Each live key lists its prefix, created date, last-used date, expiry, and scopes, with a Revoke button to kill it instantly.

Who pays?

Usage from an API key is billed to this workspace's wallet — the same balance the product uses. There is no separate API balance to top up.
