If the chairman forgets their password, the reset flow takes a couple of minutes and only needs access to the email on file.
How to reset
- Go to the sign-in page.
- Click Forgot password.
- Enter the email address on the account.
- Check that inbox for a reset email — it usually arrives within a minute.
- Click the link in the email and pick a new password.
The reset link expires after a short window for security. If it expires, just request a fresh one from the same flow.
No reset email?
- Check the spam folder
- Confirm the email address was typed correctly
- Make sure mail from Tycoon's send domain isn't filtered or blocked
If none of the above turns up the email, contact support — there may be a typo in the address on file or a deliverability issue worth investigating.
Changing a password you remember
The chairman doesn't need to "reset" if they still know the current password. Go to Settings → Account → Security → Change password, enter the current password and the new one, and save.
Password requirements
Tycoon requires a reasonable minimum length and discourages common, easy-to-guess passwords. The signup and reset screens validate in real time. A password manager generating a long random string is the lowest-friction approach.
With 2FA enabled
Password reset works the same way, but after picking the new password the chairman is also asked for a current 2FA code (or a recovery code) to complete sign-in. See the 2FA reference for what to do if the authenticator is also lost.
After a reset
All other active sessions are signed out automatically. The chairman signs in fresh on every device.
