What kind of notifications does Tycoon send?

Task completed — with a one-line result summary. Task needs your input — when the team is blocked waiting on a decision. Task failed — when something went wrong and you need to decide. Morning brief ready — once a day. Billing events — charges, low balance, plan changes. Security events — new device sign-ins, password changes.

Where do notifications appear?

In-app via the bell icon in the top right (shows unread count and recent notifications). Email sent to your account email with a link back to the relevant item. Push notifications on your phone if you have the Tycoon mobile app installed.

Mobile push notifications

Tycoon's mobile app sends push notifications via Expo. When you install the app and sign in, your device is automatically registered — no extra setup is needed. You'll receive the same task and billing alerts on your phone as you would in-app or by email. Push notification preferences follow the same Settings > Notifications controls as other channels.

How do I control what I get notified about?

Go to Settings > Notifications. You can choose which event types send email, push, or only show in-app, set quiet hours, or turn off any individual category. A small set of critical alerts — failed payments and security events — send regardless of your preferences.

How do marketing emails work?

Product announcements and tips are a separate category controlled in Settings > Account > Email preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't affect account notifications.
