Referral System & Invite Codes

What is the Referral System?

Share your unique referral link and both you and the person you refer get credits when they sign up. It's a way to earn extra credits and grow your Tycoon-powered company.

How referrals work

  1. Your workspace has a unique referral code.
  2. Share your link with someone.
  3. When they sign up, both of you receive a credit bonus.
  4. You can customize your code once (Settings → Referral).

Redeeming a code from Settings

Missed applying a code at signup, or got one from a friend after you'd already created your workspace? Go to Settings → Referral and redeem the code. Both you and the referrer get credits.

You can redeem while your workspace is still new — meaning it hasn't run its first task yet. Chatting with Tycoon Agent does not use up eligibility; only dispatching a real task does. Once a task has run, the workspace is no longer new and can't redeem a code.

Invite Codes

Invite codes are separate, campaign-specific codes that give new users a configurable bonus. Use these for talks, events, or marketing campaigns. Each code can have its own bonus amount and expiration date.

They'll see a welcome popup with your name and the bonus offer. After they sign up, credits are added automatically.

FAQ

Q: Can I customize my referral code?

A: Yes. You can change it once to something more memorable.

Q: Is there a limit on referrals?

A: No. Every successful referral earns both parties credits.

Q: What prevents abuse?

A: Self-referrals are blocked. Each workspace can only redeem one referral code, and only while it's still new (before its first task runs). Redemptions are audited and deduplicated.

A: Yes, as long as your workspace is still new (no task has run yet). Go to Settings → Referral and redeem the code.

Q: What's the difference between referral codes and invite codes?

A: Referral codes are personal (one per user), share a fixed bonus for both sides, and are shared peer-to-peer. Invite codes are campaign-specific, can have custom bonus amounts and expiration dates, and are typically shared at events or in marketing.

You can also add credit directly — see Top up credits.
