Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about wallet credit, usage, subscriptions, and how Tycoon charges for work.
What does Magical actually do?
Magical is primarily a text-expansion tool (type '//intro', it auto-expands to your intro paragraph) with additional features: auto-fill web forms across apps, AI email generation, shared team snippet libraries, workflow automation. Used heavily by sales reps, recruiters, customer support, and anyone whose job involves repetitive typing. It's a productivity tool that shipped an AI layer in recent years; the core is still snippet-based automation.
How does Magical compare to Grammarly or TextBlaze?
Adjacent tools, same category. Grammarly is primarily writing quality (grammar, tone) with snippets as a secondary feature. TextBlaze is pure text expansion, developer-friendly. Magical sits in between: strong text expansion + AI email generation + form auto-fill, aimed at sales/recruiting workflows specifically. All three compete for the 'speed up my typing' slot in your stack. Tycoon isn't in this category at all — we're a team not a typing tool.
Can Tycoon replace Magical?
No, and vice versa. Tycoon's AI CMO might write you 20 outbound emails, but it's NOT a text-expansion shortcut for when you're typing in Gmail or LinkedIn. If you live in sales outreach and need '//intro' to expand into paragraphs as you type, Magical is the right tool. Tycoon is for 'the AI CMO handles outreach strategy + drafts the emails + schedules them' — it's a team-level solution, not a keyboard-level one.
Should I use both?
If you're a sales rep whose job is high-volume personalized outreach, yes: Magical for the typing speedup + snippets, Tycoon for the strategic work (CMO decides campaigns, CFO tracks costs, CTO handles tools). For most solo founders who aren't doing 200+ outbound messages daily, just Tycoon is enough — the AI CMO can do the outreach volume without needing text expansion shortcuts.
Is Magical's AI generation competitive with ChatGPT?
Not really — Magical's AI generation is a thin layer on top of OpenAI APIs, scoped to their specific shortcuts (email replies, form fill suggestions). ChatGPT directly is more capable as a general assistant. Where Magical wins is workflow integration — it's right there in your browser with your snippets, so it's faster for specific repetitive tasks. If you want general AI help, ChatGPT/Claude. If you want integrated workflow AI, Magical. If you want a team running your business, Tycoon.
